Rennweg 2, Passau
Typical Bavarian restaurant with beer garden and large rooms with wooden decorations. The food is very good and tasty, the prices are reasonable and on top of that they brew their own beer. What more do you want? The only problem is that there are sometimes long waiting times, especially in summer. Therefore, one star is subtracted. Otherwise everything was great!
Everything in perfect order, the food was very tasty, can only be recommended
Excellent beer garden in a wonderful location with a view over the city of Passau. Traditional cuisine at completely reasonable prices. Tip: try the roast pork, the crust is unparalleled! An absolute must for beer connoisseurs and wheat beer lovers, the home-made Andorfer wheat beer! Always my pleasure!
The food is delicious and the wheat beer is very good. Reservations recommended.
Best beer, good food at fair prices. Again and again
Great goulash, great wheat beer, only the bread dumplings lacked salt. (Or the dumpling water) Otherwise tip top and very friendly hosts. Therefore still full marks. Gladly again!
Good solid food, friendly service. However, the selection on the menu could be a bit larger for my taste.
Good beer, nice beer garden where there are also delicious culinary delicacies such as pork knuckles and fried liver. But even as a vegetarian you don't miss out.
Excellent here. The view over Passau is fantastic. The food tastes good and the portions are generous too. ?
Nice beer garden, delicious food and top wheat beer.
So where some other reviewers saw a "view of Passau" is a mystery to me. But I also forgot my glasses. I'll keep it short as always: Everything really tasted very good. Greetings go out to our waiter, who was on the ball and also humorous. The gentleman who assigned us our seat was also very friendly. Overall, the staff was very positive. The wasps were really annoying, but they weren't more than anywhere else, and we found a "satisfactory solution for everyone" (except for the wasps). Don't necessarily sit under a tree, bugs keep coming down (maybe they are part of the decoration, I don't know). Greetings also go out to the somewhat wilted lady in the parking lot. She wasn't exactly the happiest in the Gäu now. But I am in good spirits that you will be climbing again in the not too distant future and that your displeasure will then, as if blown away, vanish into thin air.
Were here spontaneously on a Sunday. Got a place in the beer garden right away. The order was taken quickly, after about 15 minutes the food was there. This was really very good and the portions were also large.
Very good kitchen. Staff very attentive and friendly. Corona rules are meticulously adhered to. Tables and chairs are always disinfected.
Great beer garden with a beautiful view of Passau. Andorfer wheat beer, of course, unique! Good food and a waiter who really enjoys his job. Always my pleasure! It is best to order pork knuckle in advance, as they tend to be all eaten later. Anyone who has tried it before knows why ??
Best service, very good food, everything perfect. We'd love to come back. thank you
We were here, we need a reservation, otherwise they only had time inside, we waited 10 minutes. at the casnik. The friend complained to the manager and, as a pity, they gave us 6 beers in a box and a cup. So in the end, they were reasonable.
Very nice location with typical Bavarian specialties and a funny mentality. The portions definitely made you full and the dishes all tasted very good. The service was excellent. Warning, this is a Weißbrauhaus, so there is only Weißbier. Highly recommended and better than the restaurant directly on the Veste Oberhaus.
Good food, friendly service. However, there is only wheat beer here, no light beer. Menu selection is typical home cooking, little vegetarian food.
I am a fan of Weizendoppelbock in Germany. I have tried all I could get my hands on. The Caudiator brewed here during the Starkbierzeit is by far the best I have ever had. It also gets better with age. I found a full bottle in Germany years ago. The bartender said it probably wasn't good anymore. I kept it unrefrigerated as a souvenier. It was probably 10 years old when I decided to open it just to see what it was like. It was unbelievably good. I have been to Passau twice and it is worth the trip. I still have one that is 3 years old and just finished another recently. I did refrigerate these. This brauerei and gasthof is in a stunning location in one of Germany's most beautiful towns. It is well worth the visit. Bring an empty suitcase and bring some home.
I have wanted to come here for years and finally went with family for a terrific dinner. Great Bavarian food and atmosphere but I really came for the beer! Treat yourself to a Weihnachtsbock brewed right on site. Some of the best, if not THE best, wheat beer you can find in Bavaria. Go for the goat!
The white beer here is delicious than anywhere else. The food is also great.
Sauguad
Very tasty and big portions. Very cheap and will definitely be back. View of Passau also nice if you sit in the beer garden.
Ok
The Chantrelle mushroom soup was among the best I've ever had. Bier is excellent, and service is good. Their chef is definitely skilled and can make interesting meals.
Traditional dishes with self-brewed beer.
Guad wars
It must be the one of the best places in Passau! Lovely beers and awesome traditional foods. Really really loved this place! A small minus cause only ec cards are accepted, so bring cash if not from Germany.
Guad woas !!
Real traditional food, great beer, great service. A must in Passau (:
This is my favorite restaurant in Passau, where I go whenever I want to enjoy a good traditional meal in a fantastic environment.
